Users of the Three mobile phone network have reported problems and outages in their service.
Reports started appearing on Down Detector, an outage reporting site, around 8am. These problems are cited at 40% for mobile internet, 32% for a total failure and 28% for no signal.
Smarty also affected by outages
This outage also affected Smarty, a mobile phone brand operating as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) using the Three network.
A service checker on Three’s website lets you search for your area by postcode to check service status.
Several postcodes in England and Scotland triggered the following alert:
“We are solving a problem with our network in this area
“We are sorry for any disruption you are experiencing. Our engineers are working on pylons nearby which means the rest of our network is handling more traffic than usual.
“Updates on our work will be posted here. We are working as fast as possible to build a better and stronger network in your area.
Three did not post any further updates or confirmation of outages, however, some users posted their issues on Twitter.
You can find the tri-service checker here to check for updates in your area.
