The Dodgers are used to having very good personalities in their dugout and their clubhouse. It can be traced back to Juan Uribe, who was always a fun guy to be around, but especially when he wasn’t in the game. Yasiel Puig was a character in his own right, whether he was on the pitch or not.
But guys like Kiké Hernández really set the tone for fun on the Dodgers. And while it hasn’t always gone down well with the LA fans, sometimes you need this guy to shake things up and create good vibes.
Looks like the Dodgers found that with Hanser Alberto. Flying mostly under the radar this season, Alberto had a big moment in the game on Wednesday afternoon. And it came thanks to the cameras capturing his celebration in the dugout.
This interesting celebration made its way to the Dodgers’ broadcast booth, where Orel Hershiser re-enacted it. But that wasn’t the only Hanser clip that caught fans’ attention. His canoe dances have become incredibly popular lately.
The Dodgers need fun in the dugout, especially if they’re winning baseball games. Perhaps Hanser is that guy, especially if he’s primarily going to be used as an off-the-bench option all season.
