NEW VINEYARD – Richard and Glendalyn Dunham Hargreaves celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 26 at their Porter Lake home in New Vineyard with a weekend family reunion hosted and prepared by their children and grandchildren. Activities on the lake, lawn games, special barbecue, flowers and replica of the wedding cake as well as good weather for very special days.

Dick and Glenda retired from the education careers of the Windham school system: Dick as a high school guidance director and Glenda as an elementary literacy specialist and first grade teacher. After his retirement, Dick worked as a real estate broker. In a second retreat, the couple built a year-round house in place of their cabin and “returned” to New Vineyard where they had grown up and where they were married.

Their children: Stephen from New Vineyard, Paul and his wife Laurie from Raymond, and James and his wife Rachelle from Old Town with their grandchildren Kyle from Kennebunk, Meghan from Portland and Emma (who is currently studying in England) gave them a coming weekend at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport.
