Man shot dead in Turlock dispute
A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after a dispute at a Turlock apartment complex turned deadly on Friday night.
The Turlock Police Department said the shooter, along with others involved in the incident, had been identified, but no arrests had been made as of yet.
Police were dispatched to The Palms Apartments at 1119 Pedras Rd. At 11:07 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the male victim and provided rescue measures until medical personnel arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition, according to the police department.
“The investigation revealed that all parties involved knew each other and that this incident stemmed from a dispute,” police spokeswoman Deandra Wiley said in a statement. “There are no outstanding suspects or witnesses and the five people involved have been identified. No arrests have been made yet, pending further investigation. used fire was recovered as evidence. “
Early reports indicated that someone was also stabbed at the residence, but Wiley said there were no stab wounds.
