Research Square adds more Springer Nature journals to its preprint service

Research Square announced that more than 530 Springer Nature journals are now integrated into its Review service. “The milestone was reached this week after integrating 48 additional Springer Nature journals into the service,” the company notes. “Review, a journal-integrated service that allows researchers to publish preprints of their manuscripts when submitting papers, supports journals from the Nature and BMC portfolios, as well as a host of other journals spanning physics, engineering, plant and animal sciences, and more. Authors who publish preprints through In Review obtain a DOI for their accepted work, “thereby protecting the primacy of their work long before peer-reviewed publication.” Once submitted, authors can track editorial decisions as their articles progress through the stages of the peer review process.

“We want to help accelerate the adoption of preprints. By providing an easier way to pre-print for authors from more disciplines, we can create the step change needed to share research early to accelerate the pace of discovery across all disciplines,” said Amye Kenall, VP -President of Products and Publishing at Research Square Co., owner of Research Square.
