Springer Nature plans to launch three new Nature Reviews in 2023

Springer Nature announced the launch of three new journals in January 2023: Natural mental health, Natural Water, and Nature Journals Bioengineering. They “will have multidisciplinary scopes and provide a new avenue for publishing the latest research findings that have an impact on some of the challenges facing the world.” Natural mental health and Natural Water will be transformative journals that will move entirely to open access.

Natural mental health will cover “the breadth of science using rigorous methodology to understand mental health and mental health disorders”. Natural Water will cover “all aspects of research related to the changing relationship between water resources and society”. Nature Journals Bioengineering is Nature Reviews’ first engineering-focused journal, and it will be online only. It will cover “the full spectrum of bioengineering, focusing on application, translation and technology”.
